Brazilian film: “Human life“
This philosophical argument is certainly interesting but cannot overshadow the fact that science (embryology, biology, etc.) leaves no room for doubt. Science clearly shows that the human embryo is a living human being from the moment of conception—thus a person. It is neither a clump of cells nor a non-human entity. This is something no scientist can deny. Professor Jérôme Lejeune tirelessly reminded those who, out of ignorance or bad faith, chose to overlook it. He loved to emphasize: “The child of a human is a small human.” From the fusion of the father’s and mother’s gametes, the conceived embryo is a small human being, carrying the genetic heritage of its parents—a tiny human.
